El día martes tuve el privilegio de asistir a una charla acerca de responsabilidad social realizada por Dante Pesce, director ejecutivo del centro Vincular de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, el cual está enfocado a asesorar instituciones en dicha área.
La charla fue en un momento bastante preciso, ya que en el mes de septiembre está por aprobarse la norma ISO 26.000 que tiene que ver con dicho tema y que uno la puede ver en el instituto nacional de normalización.
La responsabilidad social está enlazada de la mano con el concepto de desarrollo sustentable, lo que tiene que ver con la forma en que las empresas van creando valor con buenas prácticas.
Aquí resaltan los aspectos Ecológico, Social y Económico, donde los actores principales son: Medio Ambiente, Trabajadores, Comunidad, Proveedores, Clientes, Socios y Stakeholders en general.
Se dice que una empresa tiene un buen futuro si la empresa es bien evaluada y mantiene una buena relación con los actores recientemente mencionados.
Dante Pesce mostró un gráfico donde aparecía una empresa que tenía un crecimiento sostenido en el nivel de utilidades y preguntó: ¿Estarían dispuestos a invertir en esta empresa?..... Hoy en día el flujo de caja y los ingresos proyectados en el corto plazo no son una condición suficiente para decir si una empresa es una buena o mala alternativa de inversión.
Sin duda el aspecto económico es una condición necesaria, pero también hay que mirar los otros aspectos de como se relaciona la empresa con su entorno y con las personas que tienen algún grado de relación con ésta.
En la medida que la empresa se encuentre bien catalogada y haga buenas prácticas, tendrá una buena reputación que le permitirá mantener sus altas utilidades sostenidas en el tiempo.
Sin embargo si se trata de una empresa que está obteniendo beneficios a costa de otros, es muy probable que quién esté siendo perjudicado, quizá sin darse cuenta en el presente, en el futuro le de la espalda y contribuya a la desaparición de esa empresa de malas prácticas en el futuro.
Si bien en los párrafos anteriores hablé solamente de empresas, hay que tener en consideración que lo expresado se aplica a todo tipo de organizaciones y también a nivel individual.
Me parece extraño que recién en éste momento esté tan en boga este tema y que no haya estado anteriormente.
De todos modos quien desee hacer cursos al respecto o escribir libros tiene una gran oportunidad en ésta década de hacerse millonario por un tema que está en la palestra y en boca de todos.

CSR is linked hand in hand with the concept of sustainable development, which is about how companies are creating value with good practice.
This highlights the ecological aspects, Social and Economic, where the main actors are: Environment, Employees, Community, Suppliers, Customers, Partners and Stakeholders in general.
It is said that a company has a good future if the company is well evaluated and has a good relationship with the actors mentioned recently.
Dante Pesce showed a graphic featured a company that had a steady increase in the level of profits and asked: Would you be willing to invest in this company ?..... Today, cash flow and projected income in the short term are not a sufficient condition to tell whether a company is good or bad investment alternative.
No doubt the economic aspect is a necessary, but we must also look at other aspects of the company as it relates to its surroundings and the people who have some degree of relationship with it.
To the extent that the company is properly cataloged and made good practice, have a good reputation that will allow you to keep your profits high and sustained over time.
However if it is a company that is making profits at the expense of others, who is likely to be injured, perhaps inadvertently in the present, in future it back and contribute to the demise of this company bad practices in the future.
While the above speaks only of companies, must take into consideration that the statement applies to all types of organizations and individual level.
It seems strange that just at this moment is so much in vogue this issue and has not been before.
Anyway courses who wish to write books about it or have a great opportunity in this decade to become a millionaire by a subject that is in the arena and on everyone's lips.
